Vienna regains its title as the most livable city in the world

Austria regains its title as the most livable city in the world in unvaccinated

rice field. Report by the Economist Intelligence Unit released Thursday.

Austrian cities maintained their highest ranks in 2018 and 2019, but due to COVID-19 restrictions, they fell to 12th place last year and the city's museums and restaurants were closed.

"Stability and good infrastructure are the main attractions for city dwellers, supported by many opportunities for good medical care, culture and entertainment," said the annual rebound in Vienna. The report states.

The livability ranking has been primarily driven by the COVID-19 pandemic. When the limit was lifted, so was the score. But in a city that fell from the top, like last year's winner Auckland, the opposite happened.

European cities dominate, occupying 6th out of the top 10. Canada is in the top 10 in Calgary, Vancouver and Toronto. Osaka in Japan and Melbourne in Australia tied in 10th place.

Los Angeles has been one of the "biggest moves in the rankings" over the past year, ranking 37th. In addition to the

pandemic, thewar in Ukrainealso influenced the rankings. After Russia invaded Ukraine, the Ukrainian capital Kyiv was not included. Russian cities Moscow and St. Petersburg have fallen in the "Western Sanctions" and "Censorship" rankings.

"Both cities have recorded lower scores due to increased instability, censorship, imposition of western sanctions, and the withdrawal of businesses from the country." I read the report.

The EIU report runs from February to March, and each city's assessment is based on factors across five categories: stability, health care, culture and environment, education and infrastructure.

The top 10 EIU livable cities are:

1. Vienna, Austria

2. Copenhagen, Denmark

3. Zurich, Switzerland

4. Calgary, Canada

5. Vancouver, Canada

6. Geneva, Switzerland

7. Frankfurt, Germany

8. Toronto, Canada

9. Amsterdam, The Netherlands

10. Japan, Osaka, Australia, Melbourne
