Virginia's father committed suicide after his toddler's son died after being left in a hot car for hours: police

Virginia'sfatheris believed to have committed suicide on Tuesday after leaving his 18-month-old son in a hot car for several hours, killing the boy's tragedy. Caused. According to the police.

Chesterfield County police said Tuesday that they were investigating apparently accidental child deaths and subsequent suicides of an adult man who was the father of the child.

Police received a phone callindicating that an 18-month-old boy could have been left in an unmanned vehicle for several hours. 

Police immediately received additional information indicating that the child's father was in his residence on 14100 blocks of Aldengate Road and expressed suicidal ideation.

Officers respond to Aldengate Road's residence, killing an 18-month-old man in the house and an adult man Was found dead apparently. The agency said in a press release that there was a self-injured gunshot wound in the woods behind the house.

"This is at so many levels. It's a tragedy. " Times-Dispatch. "Our heart is directed at family and friends trying to deal with this."

So far, investigators have shown that his father accidentally left his child in the car for several hours. When his father discovered that thechild had died in acar, he returned home and took the child into his dwelling. He reportedly left the dwelling and shot himself.
