Authorities say he's on the run after a Washington man who wanted an attempted murder fired at police

Washington suspects were seeking a Ferrony Warrant for an attempted murderafter firing at police when trying to arrest him on Tuesday afternoon, officials said. .. The suspect, later identified as 26-year-old Lane Scott Phipps, was discovered around 12:00 pm. According to police, it is in front of the pick-and-pull auto parts yard on Highway 99 in thecity of Lynnwood.

When several police officers tried to detain Phipps, police said the first report showed that the suspect had pulled out a black semi-automatic handgun and pointed it at the head of the woman he was with. 

According to authorities, police officers tried to negotiate with the suspect, but he fled to the main parking lot in the garden where his car was parked.

Authorities said Phipps was armed and considered dangerous and asked the public to call 911 if he was found.

Phipps was last seen driving a 2011 Jaguar XF.

Phipps are described as 5 feet high, 11 inches high, weighs 185 pounds, and has blue eyes. He is being sought for primary assault, ferrony harassment, and additional crimes allegedly committed in the auto parts yard on Tuesday.

He also has a positivewarrant against attempted murdersfrom Whatcom County and has escaped control of the community from the Department of Corrections.
