July 4th, the weather for millions of Americans will improve

FOX Weather meteorologists track southeastern and midwestern storms towards America's 246th birthday.

Celebration is planned from coast to coast, and typical summer fashion requires some spectators to dodge several showers and thunderstorms throughout Independence Day.

The weather forecasts for each region are as follows.

Northeastern Weather Forecast

After the start of the weekend storm, July 4th may be quite comfortable in the area.

Holiday weekend hots are in the 80's, but thanks to the cold front, humidity and dew points should be more comfortable.

Forecasts show that cities along state highway 95 from Washington to Boston will reach the mid-1980s on Monday afternoon before the late 70s for the start of the fireworks show. And need to settle in the late 80's.

Los Angeles will also enjoy the temperatures of the 70's throughout the weekend.

Below average temperatures are ideal for parades and fireworks displays in most of Oregon, California, and Nevada on July 4.

The average maximum temperature on July 4th is usually 92 degrees Celsius in Reno and 81 degrees Celsius in Los Angeles, so most of the west is 5 to 15 degrees below average.

Parts of the southwest will be susceptible to flash flooding.
