Wendy's pulls lettuce from some restaurants amid E. coli outbreak

Fast food chain Wendy's said E. CDC announced on Friday.

Wendy's said in a statement to CBS News that it was "We are taking precautionary measures to remove sandwich lettuce from restaurants in the area."  

"As a company, we are committed to food safety and We are committed to maintaining high standards of quality," added Chain. 

CDC stressed that eating at Wendy's and consuming romaine lettuce elsewhere is still safe, and that lettuce served elsewhere can pose risks.
