Archie Manning follows Uncle Peyton's path as one of the most coveted new hires in college football. Last week,Arch promised to play for the Texas Longhorns.
Peyton understands the shocking movements of his nephew from his own experience in the 90's.
"High school relationships never go away," Peyton told Manning Passing Academy on Friday. "That's why I'm glad he made this decision. I had a conversation with him last week after he made his last visit, because he asked when I made the decision.
"When I returned from my last visit, basically announced where to go two days later because I knew. When you know, you know, and It doesn't make sense to drag it to make some dramas. "
Peyton Manning devoted himself to the University of Tennessee, won the 1997 SEC Championship, and voted 2 in the Heisman Trophy. It became a place. He then had one of the most prolific pass careers in NFL history, winning one Super Bowl each in Colts and Broncos and being inducted into the Hall of Fame.
When Texas enters the SEC in 2025 Arch, you'll have the opportunity to test if he has that greatness against Tennessee and Olemis. It happened to be Uncle Eri's alma mater.
