When Will Part 2 of Firefly Lane Season 2 Be On Netflix? Everything We Know About Firefly Lane’s Final Episodes

Since Season 2 is 16 episodes and Part 1’s release included the first nine, Part 2 will consist of the remaining seven episodes. Prior to Part 1’s release, Netflix confirmed that the second part of Season 2 would be released in 2023. And at the end of Season 2, Episodes 9, “Hart Shaped Box,” the streaming service offered specifics.

After a minute-long preview for Part 2, Netflix revealed that The Final Chapter of Firefly Lane will drop on June 8, 2023!

What Firefly Lane’s Final Episodes Will Look Like

Wondering what we could see from Firefly Lane Season 2, Part 2? As noted above, Part 1 ends with a series of emotional cliffhangers, the three major ones being Kate’s cancer diagnosis, the state of her friendship with Tully, and Tully’s new job offer in Antarctica — which it looks like she accepted!

Firefly Lane Season 2, Part 2 will tie up those loose ends, but it will also make a major time jump into the future. (Because in this show, three timelines just isn’t enough!) At the end of Episode 9, Netflix shows a minute-long preview for Part 2 titled, “There’s More to Come.” Here’s what we learned from it.

We see the Firefly Lane universe jumping 10 years into the future with Johnny (Ben Lawson) and Kate’s brother Sean (Jason McKinnon) standing at an altar wearing suits. Chairs are set up in what looks like Johnny and Kate’s house, flowers fill the room, and guests are happily talking amongst themselves before the ceremony begins. “It’s almost go time. How you feeling?” Sean asks Johnny. “I’d feel a lot better if the bride would show up. We’re supposed to start any minute,” Johnny replies.

In Season 2, Part 1, Johnny proposed to Kate again and she accepted, so for a moment we wonder if she survived her battle with cancer and is finally remarrying her ex-husband a decade after her diagnosis. But then we cut to TULLY (!!!) who’s wearing all white, fixing her makeup in the bathroom, and screaming “Hold your horses! I’m almost ready. It’s not like you can start without me anyway.” She lets out a big exhale, smiles, and the screen fades to black. AHHHHH!!!!!

Does Kate DIE?! Are Tully and Johnny actually the ones getting married? Start your countdown calendars, Firefly Lane fans. It’s going to be a long six months of waiting, wondering, and worrying.

The first nine episodes of Firefly Lane Season 2 are now available to stream on Netflix.
