If you’re one of the 7.5 million people tuning into The Last of Us every week, you may find yourself wondering, among other things like why am I crying and maybe the real enemy was gluten and where is the jacket Joel (Pedro Pascal) is wearing from?
It was first seen in the promotional images for the show long before we got a proper look at the mycelium-ravaged world of The Last of Us, and then, in the premiere episode, Joel wears the jacket. It’s shown up in episodes since, and we finally have confirmation of the jacket Pascal wears as he’s killing Clickers and making us all swoon.
Huckberry, a clothing and lifestyle brand geared toward adventurous men, confirmed on their website that the jacket in the show is the Flannel-Lined Waxed Trucker Jacket ($298) from their in-house brand Flint and Tinder.
Esquire reported that in the week following the series premiere, sales of the jacket, which is already one of Huckberry’s most consistent bestsellers, were up 170 percent, and search interest had also blown up: organic searches jumped 159 percent over the week before.
On the show, Joel wears the jacket in the Forest variant. It’s available in eight different colors, in sizes XS-3XL. Per Huckberry’s website, it’s waxed on both sides to ensure you’re as warm as possible, and it can be rewaxed whenever needed. It’s also weather resistant, so while you won’t have to fight off zombies, you can stay dry when it rains.
The Last of Us is adapted from the video game of the same name, set in a post-apocalyptic 2023, where a global infectious pandemic that turns victims into zombie-like creatures leads to the downfall of society. Joel is a smuggler tasked with escorting a teenage girl (Bella Ramsey) across the country from Boston to the West Coast.
New episodes of The Last of Us air on HBO and HBO Max ($9.99/month) simultaneously every Sunday at 9 p.m. ET through March 12. However, episode 5 will hit HBO Max two days early to accommodate the Super Bowl.
