Man sent to hospital after motorcycle-car crash at Cheras roundabout

KUALA LUMPUR: An accident between a car and a motorcycle at a roundabout in Cheras left a man with severe head injuries.

Kuala Lumpur Traffic Investigations and Enforcement chief Asst Comm Zulkefly Yahya said the injured motorcyclist, a 64-year-old man, was rushed to Hospital Canselor Tuanku Muhriz after the crash at the Billion Cheras roundabout at around 11am Friday (July 3).

"Investigations revealed that the car, driven by a 28-year-old teacher, was on the roundabout when the motorcycle entered his lane.

"The driver could not avoid the motorcyclist as there was just a short distance between them," he said.

The driver was uninjured and later lodged a police report over the accident.

The case is being investigated for careless and inconsiderate driving.
