Ruez Titre and Jai’ Liah Empress Buchanan Emerge Victorious in 2023 Smalta Junior Calypso Monarch

Ruez Titre of St. Joseph Academy showcased remarkable consistency, securing victory in the 13 to 18 category of the 2023 Smalta Junior Calypso Monarch Competition.

Prior to this, he also excelled in the Mr. and Miss Teenage Pageant, earning the top spot.

After the show, he expressed relief at the conclusion of the challenging preparations.

Ruez aims to rest and focus on immersing himself in the festival’s remaining activities.

Beyond pageantry and calypso, his vision includes becoming a prominent figure in Caribbean society.

Prisca “Calypso P” Neptune and Noah “African Prince” Yeboah took the second and third positions, respectively.

In the 5 to 12 category, Jai’ Liah Empress Buchanan emerged as the judge’s choice with her outstanding performance.

Nicholas “Mighty Nick” Perry and Lena “Calypso Lily” Mills were recognized as first and second runners-up in the same category.

Empress Buchanan expressed excitement about her achievement.
