Hattieville Resident is Charged for Death of Oscar Mayen Jr.

Three days after a fatal road traffic accident on the Boom/Hattieville Road, police have formally arrested and charged Jules Adderly for the crime of Manslaughter by Negligence, Causing Death by Careless Conduct and Drove Motor Vehicle Without Due Care and Attention. The forty-three-year-old Hattieville resident was behind the steering wheel of an SUV when he crashed head-on with a motorcyclist heading in the opposite direction. The impact of the collision flung twenty-year-old Oscar Mayen Junior several feet away to the pavement and his death. The SUV came to a stop when it crashed into a lamppost. The incident occurred around eleven o’clock on Sunday night in front of CDS Gas Station on the Boom/Hattieville Road.
