Was Alex Underwood Working with L.I.U.?
Was Alex Underwood under the employ of the Leadership Intervention Unit? That’s what the Commissioner of Police was asked for a second time today. Since the arrest and remand of the so-called SSG boss much has been said about his alleged criminal involvement. Notwithstanding those charges, Underwood is seeking his release from the Belize Central Prison by applying for bail through the High Court.

“Was not, I will ask you again, was not Alex Underwood at a recent time also on the LIU payroll?”

“Alex Underwood was not an active member of LIU. Again, as I said before, we classify members of LIU as persons who are employed by LIU or a part of our programs. He was not paid, neither was he a part of our programs. Alex Underwood, as you would know, operated a football club and that is what he was doing.

“Sir, Alex Underwood applying for his bail at the Supreme Court. Do you believe he will be successful in that?”
Chester Williams
“If he’s successful, then we’ll capture him under the SOE. It’s as simple as that.”
