Juboraj Shamim's film "Adim" (The Instinct) will soon be screened in New York. The much-talked-about film will be screened at the Queens Theatre and the Museum of the Moving Image.
Juboraj Shamim stated that the authorities of the Queens World Film Festival confirmed the news via email on September 21.

The filmmaker couldn't inform the media due to a news embargo by the authorities. The first screening of the film will take place for selective guests only—including festival organisers, jury board, film directors, producers, distributors, and other film members. Then, the second screening will be held for audiences, who will have to pay a small fee to see the movie.
The director is eager to participate in the festival and has kicked off the processing for his visa.
The festival will run between November 1–6.
Earlier on, Juboraj Shamim's film "Adim" won the Silver Saint George (Special Jury Award) and the Netpack Jury Award at the 44th Moscow International Film Festival.
"Adim" is a crowd-funded movie that was shot in the slums of Tongi, with actual slum dwellers. The 84-minute film is a joint production of Bangladesh and the Netherlands. Director Juboraj sold shares "Adim" for only BDT 5,000, to raise funds to produce his film.
