The annual council of Bangladesh Chhatra League's Dhaka University unit will be held this afternoon after four years.
Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader will address the programme as chief guest on Aparajeyo Bangla premises.

BCL central president Al Nahean Khan Joy will inaugurate the council, while its general secretary Lekhak Bhattacharjee will speak as the main discussant. BCL DU unit president Sonjit Chandra Das will chair the event scheduled to start at 3pm.
The last council of the unit was held on April 29, 2018. A DU committee was formed for a one-year tenure on July 31 that year, selecting Sanjit Chadra Das as president and Saddam Hussain as general secretary. As per the BCL charter, the council of the DU unit is supposed to take place every year, but the incumbent leadership said it could not hold the council in time because of the pandemic.
