eGeneration’s profit slightly up

eGeneration Limited posted a 2.14 per cent increase in profit in the financial year that ended on June 30. 

The information technology company made a profit of Tk 6.67 crore in 2021-22, which was Tk 6.53 crore in the previous year.

Thus, the company reported earnings per share of Tk 1.43 (restated) for the last financial year, against Tk 1.40 (restated) a year ago.

Its net asset value per share rose to Tk 21.67 from Tk 20.86.

The net operating cash flow per share surged to Tk 2.09 from Tk 0.02 in 2020-21, owing to the aggressive receivable collection and conservative payment strategy, said eGeneration in a filing on the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) yesterday.

The board of directors recommended a 10 per cent cash dividend for general shareholders for 2021-22.

General shareholders hold 4.67 crore shares in the IT firm out of a total of 7.5 crore shares, while sponsors and directors hold 2.83 crore shares. General shareholders will get a cash dividend of Tk 4.67 crore.

eGeneration provides end-to-end digital transformation solutions to medium to large businesses and the government.

The solutions include modern workplace, enterprise resources planning, digital healthcare, cloud services, cybersecurity, big data analytics, artificial intelligence, blockchain, internet of things, robotic process automation, natural language processing, and consultancy, according to its website.

Shares of eGeneration closed 1.08 per cent higher at Tk 55.90 on the DSE yesterday.
