Rapid Action Battalion claimed to have arrested five members of "newly surfaced militant group Jama'atul Ansar Fil Hindal Sharqiya" from Dhaka and Narayanganj.
Khandaker Al Moin, Rab's Legal and Media wing director, confirmed the arrests. Rab will hold a press conference on the arrest today.

Earlier, police and Rab claimed to have arrested over two dozen leaders and operatives of the militant group.
According to Rab, more than 50 youths left homes over the last two years and they along with some others have joined the militant group.
Rab had said the operatives were being trained under the supervision of some separatist groups in Chattogram Hill Tracts.
