Fuel, LPG price increase from Sunday

The Fijian Competition and Consumer Commission (FCCC) has determined the new regulated prices of unleaded petrol, premix, kerosene, diesel and Liquefied Petrolium Gas (LPG) for October 2023.

The Fijian Competition and Consumer Commission (FCCC) has determined the new regulated prices of unleaded petrol, premix, kerosene, diesel and Liquefied Petrolium Gas (LPG) for October 2023.

This new prices will come into effect this Sunday.

Factors impacted

FCCC said the factors were impacted by the movement of the Means of Platts Singapore (MOPS), international freight rates and foreign exchange rates for the month of August 2023.

The major reasons for the increase is due to the unfavourable movement noted in the international freight rate marker for motor spirit, that is international freight rate marker considerably increased compared to last month’s review.

FCCC said the price for kerosene and diesel will also increase due to the unfavorable movement that was noted in the international refined fuel price of kerosene and diesel, that is, the cost price of refined kerosene and diesel increased considerably when compared to last month’s review.

Retail Fuel Prices: 

  •  Moto Spirit to increase by 18cents
  •  Premix to increase by 18cents
  •  Kerosene to increase by 29cents
  •  Diesel to increase by 32cents

Retail LPG Prices

Bulk Gas to increase by 30cents and AutoGas to increase by 21cents.
