Donnell Rawlings: Dave Chappelle’s July Fourth festival could be released

Comic Donnell Rawlings told us that Dave Chappelle’s socially distanced, star-studded July Fourth festival in Ohio could wind up as a Netflix film.

The show in Chappelle’s hometown included Questlove, Common, Tiffany Haddish and Erykah Badu. “The thing with Dave is that he likes to film the happenings in his life, documentary style, like when he did [the 2006 film ‘Dave Chappelle’s Block Party’],” Rawlings said.

“One of the similarities with that is it did rain … Like that drunk uncle that you don’t invite to the barbecue but when they show up, you don’t kick them out.”
