A former Navy Sailor plans to sue former President Barack Obama and his administration, the Hill reports.
Kristian Saucier, a sailor who was pardoned by President Donald Trump, is accusing Obama and his administration of subjecting him to unequal protection under the law.
Saucier’s lawyer told Fox News that Obama, along with former FBI Director James Comey and the Justice Department improperly handled his client's case.
Saucier served one year in prison after he took photos onboard a nuclear submarine, and claims the Obama administration treated his case differently than Hillary Clinton’s when she used a private email server.
The FBI did not end up charging Clinton although Comey called her use of a private email server “extremely careless.”
Saucier’s attorney told Fox News quote, “We’ll highlight the differences in the way Hillary Clinton was prosecuted and how my client was prosecuted.”
In the past President Trump has also compared Saucier’s case to Clinton’s, tweeting, “Crooked Hillary Clinton’s top aid, Huma Abedin, has been accused of disregarding basic security protocols. She put Classified Passwords into the hands of foreign agents. Remember sailors pictures on submarine? Jail! Deep State Justice Dept must finally act? Also on Comey & others.”
