Kanye West to appear on Colorado presidential ballot

Rapper Kanye West will appear on Colorado’s November ballot as an independent presidential candidate, Colorado’s secretary of state confirmed Thursday.

West easily met the state’s low bar to appear as a candidate, which includes paying a $1,000 fee, filing official paperwork, and securing the backing from nine political operatives who are registered to vote, according to a report by the Denver Post.

Earlier Wednesday, the New York Post reported that the rap mogul had flooded Ohio authorities with nearly 10,000 additional signatures beyond what is required to appear on the ballot in the Buckeye State.

“It’s a challenge,” one West operative told New York Magazine of their effort to appear on Ohio’s ballot.

The billionaire musician is continuing his quixotic White House bid even as he struggles to register in multiple states with less than 100 days until the election.

On Tuesday, West’s campaign dropped its effort to appear on the new Jersey presidential ballot after an election attorney alleged his paperwork contained fraudulent signatures.

Undeterred by his near-impossible route to the White House, the sneaker-designer-turned-politician also named a mysterious spiritual coach to be his running mate.

Michelle Tidball lives on a ranch in Cody, Wyoming, where West has also settled, and on her website, which has since been partly taken down, claimed that God visited her when she was a six-month-old baby.
