‘Legally Blonde 3’ delayed until 2022 amid COVID-19

Fans will have to wait a lot longer to see the third installment of “Legally Blonde.”

“Legally Blonde 3,” originally scheduled for release in theaters this past February, now won’t be out until May 20, 2022 due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, reports Variety.

The third installment will again see Reese Witherspoon stepping into the hot-pink heels of everyone’s favorite Gemini vegetarian.

Witherspoon had confirmed the third movie back in 2018 through Twitter.

The screenplay for the threequel is written by Mindy Kaling and by Dan Goor, who also wrote for hit-tv shows “Brooklyn nine-nine” and “Parks and Recreation.”

Witherspoon will be producing the film through her company, Hello Sunshine. No director has been named yet and the plot and additional cast have remained under wraps.
