One found dead following coach house fire in Wicker Park

One person was found dead following a coach house fire early Saturday in Wicker Park, according to Chicago police and fire officials.

Officers responded to a fire at the residence around 2:30 a.m. in in the 2100 block of West Potomac Avenue on the Near West Side, according to police. A person, who has not been identified, was found dead inside and pronounced dead on scene.

Fire officials said the person who died was an adult, but didn’t say if it was a man or woman.

Fire officials and police detectives were investigating the cause of the fire. Detectives were investigating the person’s cause of death.
