Warriors rumor is first whisper of Jeremy Lin NBA interest

Jeremy Lin could get his next NBA chance in the same place he got the first.

According to a report out of China, the Warriors are interested in Lin after the point guard said he was hoping to return to the NBA. Lin spent last season playing for the Beijing Ducks of the Chinese Basketball Association. The interest in linked to Stephen Curry’s admiration for the 32-year-old Lin.

“This decision has really been the hardest in my life,” Lin said last month in a video to Weibo and his 7 million followers on the Chinese social media site. “Every morning I would wake up at 4 a.m. or 5 a.m., thinking, thinking and thinking all the time.

“In the end, although Shougang has treated me incredibly well … giving me everything I wanted, in the end, I feel that I still have NBA dreams. I still have time to play and I have to chase this.”

Lin signed with the Warriors as an undrafted free agent out of Harvard before the 2010 season and played 29 games in Golden State in what was Curry’s second season in the league. Lin then went on to the Knicks and Linsanity fame before stints with the Rockets, Lakers, Hornets, Nets, Hawks and Raptors.

Lin went on to play in China after saying he hit “rock bottom” when there was a lack of free-agency interest. Now, there is hope an NBA return is possible.
