DHAKA: Bashundhara Group Managing Director’s Chief Coordinator and East West Media Group Limited’s (EWMGL) head of Information Technology (IT) Muhammad Golam’s mother Sufia Khanom has passed away.

She was 72. 

She breathed her last around 7:30pm on Saturday while undergoing treatment at Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH).

Sufia Khanom had been suffering from various old age complications.

She left three sons and a daughter and a host of relatives and well-wishers to mourn her death. Muhammad Golam is the youngest son of Sufia Khanom.

Bashundhara Group Chairman Ahmed Akbar Sobhan and Managing Director Sayem Sobhan Anvir expressed profound shock at the death of Sufia Khanom.

They also prayed for salvation of her departed soul and expressed deep sympathy to the bereaved family members.
