Truck-bike collision leaves college student dead in Narail

A college student in Narail was killed in a head-on collision between his motorcycle and a truck yesterday night.

The deceased was identified as Motahar Hossain (19), student of Narail Government Victoria College and son of Mizanur Rahman, hailed from Hatbaria area of Narail town, reports our local correspondent quoting Ilias Hossain, officer-in-charge of Narail Sadar police station.

The accident took place at Auria Tollghar area on Narail-Kalna road last night.

Quoting locals, the OC said the motorcycle collided with a speeding truck leaving the motorcyclist Motahar Hossain seriously injured.

Locals rescued him and took him to Narail Modern Sadar Hospital where the on-duty doctor pronounced him dead.

The truck quickly fled after the accident. The victim's family is preparing to file a case in this connection.
