By BBN Staff: With the increased circulation of nudes and revenge porn recently, several entities have stepped to the forefront to condemn this matter.
First it was the Special Envoy for Women and Children and now it is the National Committee for Families and Children (NCFC).
Yesterday the NCFC issued a statement condemning what it deems as cyber bullying “…which has resulted in the harmful and illegal circulation of sexually explicit video of a teenaged girl,” said the statement.
The NCFC is referring to a recent video that has emerged in which a uniformed student was engaged in oral sex.
It had been previously reported that she was suspended from school but her family says otherwise.
According to the family, they have instead kept her home to protect her from bullying.
The NCFC also notes that the production of child pornography is a criminal offence which carries a sentence of ten years.
As a result it is urging the public to desist from sharing such videos.
