NHLONIPHO, AUBREY QWANA SINGLE DROPS

MBABANE – Singer, songwriter and professional Jazz pianist Nhlonipho Dlamini teamed up with Afro Pop sensation Aubrey Qwana to bring the perfect summer love anthem titled ‘Jola’.

This brand new Afro Pop/Afro Soul single forms part of Nhlonipho’s forthcoming Selemo Extended Playlist (EP) that is set to drop this year on October 20. The single is filled with joy and warmth and showcases the immense talent and diversity of both Dlamini and Qwana. ‘Jola’ is a love song that makes for an ideal choice for the summer wedding season. It captures the essence of pursuing love with confidence and envisioning a future together with a beloved partner. The singer’s dreams paint a vivid picture of the love they anticipate sharing, and this assurance leads them to confidently express their beliefs in a future together with their significant other.

Renowned

Dlamini’s music career has led him to work with renowned South African and international artists such as Black Coffee, Samthing Soweto, Morda, Ami Faku, Mthandazo Gatya, and now Aubrey Qwana. The release of ‘Jola’ comes three weeks after he released the first single of his upcoming EP, titled ‘Ngiyatisola’. Qwana, an Afro-pop musician, has captured the hearts of music fans with his unique blend of Maskandi, Mbaqanga, Arna Zion, and Hip Hop. He has recently released his highly anticipated album, ‘Mkabayi’. “Creating this song with Aubrey Qwana was a great experience. We were in the studio and Oriah started the beat, and I was just blown away. I already had the melodies, so I could not wait to jump right in and immediately start creating something so special. I believe this song is going to make people fall in love,” said Dlamini. ‘Jola’ has already been sent to radio stations, and it has been picked up by several stations. It is now available on all digital service platforms. The artist further mentioned how he was a storyteller by nature, and it was something that came naturally to him. “I am a storyteller, and that is just what I love doing. With this project, I was looking at telling a deep story of regret that is also relatable and sharing with the world,” said Dlamini.

Excited

The artist also highlighted how he was quite excited for people to get to listen to what he has been working on and be taken on a great journey through this project. “I am very excited about this release. I’ve received so much love, especially from people back home. I can’t wait for people to hear the full project, ‘Selemo’. The artist has been celebrating other achievements, like collaborating with great names in the South African music scene like Oskido and Zakes Bantwini, just to name a few.
