YOUNG ZESH TO DROP ‘LIPHASELA’ ON FRIDAY

MBABANE – Musician Young Zesh will be releasing a song titled ‘Liphasela’ this Friday.

Mzwandile Ginindza, famously known by his stage name Young Zesh, is a local musician currently based in South Africa (SA), where he is pursuing his career in music. He is the brains behind the record-breaking song titled ‘KaKhoza’. He is signed under Upscale Live, which is an entertainment stable that houses award-winning musicians Lyrikal Busta and Sean Cast HQ. He has performed on prestigious stages such as the MTN Bushfire Festival and the MTN Bushfire European Union Schools Festival. His work has seen him receive positive reaction from celebrated musicians such as Zakwe and Duncan. In an interview with this publication, he shared that this would be a love song. “Liphasela’ is a love song produced by DJ Citie, mixed and mastered by Sean Cast HQ from my record label, Upscale Live. This song is inspired by love—love from the village, not love from urban areas.

Respectful

“In this song, I’m just a village guy dating a girl from the village whom I met at emlanjeni (river) not just in any area,” the musician said. He went on to share the inspiration behind the song, citing that he aims to applaud the beauty of the girl. “In this song, I praise the beauty of the girl; when she looks at me, she just smiles, and I feel like I can do just about anything for her. I also applaud her character. The way that she was raised is evident in her good character, where she appears to be respectful and calm. The song is also about praising the fact that she is a village girl who loves the local tradition and embraces it in the way she dresses. The title ‘Liphasela’ means that I am preparing money to send my uncles to her home to ask her on my behalf to give me her hand in marriage so we can stay together,” Young Zesh said.

He also narrated that fans should listen to the song, saying that he made it for them. “This song is for emaSwati I made it for them. The song pays respect to our local girls, who have been raised with respect. The song is also about encouraging young men to do the right thing when it comes to marrying a girl; they should do it the right way by marrying in Swati culture and paying lobola before settling down with the girls.

Encouraging

“Anyone can relate to this song, especially those who are already married or about to get married. With this song, I’m marketing our culture as well as our country. EmaSwati should be on alert. “I hope they will love this song since it’s made for them,” the musician said. Young Zesh shared that after this single, he will release more music. “I am yet to release more music; I am currently on the way to release my new album titled ‘Lwandiso’. More music is on the way; now that I have started, I won’t rest. The title of the album comes after my son’s name; I am also marketing our culture and the beauty of Eswatini,” shared Young Zesh. The artwork for the song was produced by Director Kwenu and Motion Skies, and it will be distributed by Orchard Music under Upscale Live Sz.
