Digicel users complain about poor services

BY PATRICK MAKIS

Digicel customers in the Pakia area of Panguna have expressed concerns on the poor network coverage currently affecting the area.

Speaking on their behalf, Kevin Miring of Pakia village told the Post-Courier that many Digicel customers were complaining about the lack of reliable network coverage in the area since September last year.

“Since September last year we have not been receiving Digicel network coverage starting at Pakia down to Morgan Junction and this is despite the fact that we have a tower situated at the Pakia Gap.

“We want to know why we have not been able to receive the network reception despite our close proximity to the tower and also why this situation has not been addressed since last year,” he asked.

Mr Miring said many people had to “fork out” nearly K10 a day just to get into Arawa Town to make calls and access internet services.

“This is not good customer service on the part of Digicel and as reliable customers our issues must be addressed.

“I now call upon the Digicel management to please hear our pleas and rectify this situation,” he said.
