The 2019 Air Niugini Cargo POMBSA Corporate team snooker competition completed Game #7 and it was a night of upsets.

First up at the Lamana Q snooker room we had 4th placed Lamana 2 defeat 2nd placed DKS Snipers 4-3.

Lamana 2 looked to be running away with the match after winning the first three singles thanks to good wins for Poliap Pokanau, Noel Ramos and Joey Chan but Snipers best on the night Jackson Ng again show cased his talent by winning his single 2-0 against Lamana 2 player Lasark Joseph.

Then Snipers Ikupu Ovia recorded a 2-0 win over a rusty Bob Keimelo setting up a big finish in the doubles, and after Snipers pairing of PNG women’s #1 Geua John and Jojo Ng evened the match 3-3 it was up to Lasark Joseph to make amends in the doubles along with Lamana 2 skipper Noel Ramos.

Ramos and Joseph didn’t disappoint their team mates winning 2-1 for the 3 points.

In the other games the Aviat played host to AM Top shooters and big improvers Tourism PNG Players.
Players got off to a slow start losing their first 2 singles before going on to win the next 4 games straight to take out the match 4-3.

Best for AM Topshooters was Clyde Palmah and Vani Toka was best for Tourism PNG Players.

Finally over at the POMCC last placed and winless thus far Lamana 1 finally broke their egg defeating 1st placed Nings Agencies Prime Movers 4-3.

Lamana 1 Captain Ralph Kaina found form to claim his team’s best player award and opposing Captain Danny Earles was judged as Prime Movers best on the night.

The ladder after 7 games shows Nings Agencies Prime Flyers still 1st with 15 points followed by Tourism PNG in 2nd also on 15 points.
