Nurul Azeerah binti Haji Shahri won the Smile Contest in Category ‘A’ for the Centre for Children with Special Needs (KACA) children, while Dang Tuah binti Haji Gagah from KACA BSB secured first place in the Category ‘B’ for parents/volunteers during KACA’s award presentation ceremony and certificate distribution for the winners of the Smile Contest and Let’s Tell a Story Contest 2023 .
It was held in conjunction with KACA’s 37th anniversary at KACA Centre in Kampong Kiulap yesterday.
Meanwhile Bhinthari Rednodjiwati from KACA BSB won the Smile Contest in Category ‘C’ for committee members and staff, Muhammad Rayyan Adwan bin Mohammad Arif won the Let’s Tell a Story Contest Group ‘A’ for KACA children and Mohd Rozyman bin Norman was placed first in the for Group ‘B’ category.
KACA Director Haji Abdul Alim bin Haji Awang Othman, the guest of honour, who presented the prizes to the winners, praised the participants for making the event more vibrant.
“The Let’s Tell a Story Contest 2023 was organised to enhance language skills, including listening, speaking, reading, and writing, while also encouraging children to generate spontaneous ideas and build confidence in speaking in public,” said Haji Abdul Alim. – Adib Noor
